Room to grow
If you’re ambitious, curious and ready for a challenge, there’s plenty of opportunities to develop your career here at CYBG.
We’re always encouraging internal growth and we have a strong culture of promotions here.
But it’s not just upwards promotions we encourage – we also want you to have the opportunity to move into broader roles and into different departments if you want to expand your experience. We offer regular check-ins where you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your aspirations with your People Leader.
A working culture to be proud of
A healthy work-life balance
We all need a life outside work – so, wherever possible, we make sure your schedule allows for a healthy balance. Whether you’ve got a growing family, want to volunteer or support your community, or just have hobbies that you’d like to make time for, we’ll support you however we can.
Great people, great teams
You’ll find yourself surrounded by a supportive, ambitious team and great leadership. Everyone works hard to deliver the best service to our customers – and we like to have fun too!
Always improving through communication
We’ll always give positive feedback for good work, and help you make improvements where you can. Likewise, you can provide feedback up and down the chain whenever you like.
A place for everyone
As a Disability Confident Employer with a Stonewall Scotland Diversity Champion Status, we work hard to create an environment where all our employees can be their authentic selves without fear of discrimination.
We encourage all colleagues to join our Colleague Network Groups for Gender, Age, Disability, Ethnicity and Sexual Orientation. These groups are sponsored by members of our Executive Leadership Team and they provide the opportunity for colleagues to support, include, connect and share.
A new approach to great leadership
Our leaders play a critical role in supporting employee wellbeing, nurturing our culture and improving performance. They’ll give you space to create your own solutions to problems and come up with your own ideas. By setting team goals and thinking long term, they ensure our people are always improving.
Supporting your wellbeing
People work best when they’re happy and healthy. In partnership with Time to Change, we’ve developed an action plan to encourage colleagues to talk about mental health. We’ve also taken lots of steps to help promote better mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Each year, we have over 28,000 wellbeing conversations with employees during our check ins.
We can help you finance a range of health services, including physiotherapy, meditation sessions, sports and mobility equipment and financial wellbeing services.
AXA Stronger Minds
In partnership with AXA, the Stronger Minds team ensure fast access to appropriate care, with no need to see your GP first.
A rounded approach
We believe wellbeing relies on four key things: mind, body, finances and family. At CYBG, we aim to support them all.
Mental Health Awareness Training
An online module is available to help colleagues develop an understanding of mental health in the workplace.
Quarterly check ins
We encourage employees to discuss and reflect on their physical and mental wellbeing.
Positive Leaders & People Leaders
Our leaders are given guidance on how to support employees struggling with mental health, as well as how to identify anxiety triggers.
