Where we started

Clydesdale Bank was established in 1838 in Glasgow. The bank has a history of innovation and support for Scottish industry and communities. With over 70 branches and a network of business and private banking centres, Clydesdale is one of Scotland's largest banks.


What the future holds

With the launch of B, we committed to being at the forefront of innovative banking to deliver a useful, simple and rewarding experience. We’re investing more than £350 million in our business over the next two years, introducing new services to ensure we are best placed to serve our customers’ needs both today and tomorrow.

A totally unique experience

We’re not a traditional bank. Instead, we prefer to forge our own path. As a graduate, you’ll play a key role in shaping the bank’s future through our digital innovation and transformation programmes.

Our 2018 timeline

Applications open

You’ll be able to apply from mid-January to show us who you are and why you have got what it takes to be one of our graduates.

Applications close

Make sure you've got your application in by February 21st. Once you have applied we will keep you up to date with what’s happening with your application.

First stage assessments take place

Successful applicants will be invited to complete an assessment in early March. This is an opportunity to bring your application to life.

Assessment centres take place

You will participate in an interview and group exercise and will be assessed on both your cultural and technical fit.

Places awarded

We will let everyone know by early May what decisions have been made. We won’t leave you hanging!

Your first day

If selected, you will join us in September, giving you the chance to have a well-deserved break after your final exams.

Leadership graduates

Our programme will give you experience in different areas of the business to fully understand how it operates, expanding your knowledge about potential career paths across a range of disciplines.

Technical graduates

Gain hands- on technical experience and knowledge across technology, building the technical skills needed to succeed in these areas at the end of the 2-year programme.
